A peer-reviewed paper, entitled "Three-dimensional finite element modeling of dynamic rupture and aseismic slip over earthquake cycles on geometrically complex faults", by Luo, B., B. Duan, and D. Liu, was accepted on July 14, 2020 for publication in BSSA. This paper presents our second dynamic earthquake simulator, which is entirely based on our dynamic FEM code EQdyna. One key ingredient is to apply a dynamic relaxation (DR) technique to EQdyna to simulate the quasi-static processes, including nucleation, postseismic and inter seismic processes. Our first dynamic earthquake simulator EQsimu (published a little earlier, Liu et al.,GJI, 2020) integrates EQdyna with a static FEM solver EQquasi for earthquake cycle simulation with dynamic rupture.
