Title: Remote Sensing Geology in a Low-Pressure Frozen Desert: Exploration of the Martian Surface
Speaker: Dr. Donald Hood
Postdoctoral Research Associate, Texas A&M University
Abstract: When working on Mars, tools for geochemistry are sometimes limited, but we can still learn a lot with the data we have. I will discuss two projects that use remote sensing chemistry and mineralogy to unravel the geologic history of the Martian surface. I will also discuss some of the unique opportunities and challenges when it comes to using remote sensing techniques on Mars.
